Description

Colour Set

Define which colours the chart will use by default. The options are:

  • Metric Colour: if a colour has been applied to a metric field in the view, this colour can be used in the chart.
  • Monochrome: a colour can be defined here and shades of that colour will be used in the chart.
  • Default/Configuration Colours: this uses the default set of colours defined by a system administrator.
  • Reference Code Colour: if colours have been applied to a reference code, and a dimension field has that code applied the colours can be used.

Hollow Shapes

when using line shapes on a line chart this hollows the centre of the shape.

Curved Lines

when using a line chart this will curve the line, rather than being straight lines between each point.

Description

Title Setting

Use this setting to determine how the title of the chart should be derived. Your options include:

  • Report Name (: uses the name of the report as saved),
  • Section Name (If : if your report has sections you can use the section title as the chart title so that for each chart displayed the appropriate section name is used.)
  • Metric (: this is used for series selection charts - it displays the currently selected metric if only one is displayed at a time)
  • Custom: Set set the Chart title manually
  • None: Do do not display a chart title

Use this to Change the Chart title - by default it will use the Report Name.

Description

Upper Bound

By setting the upper bound you will set the maximum value to be displayed on the chart axis.

Lower Bound

By setting the lower bound you will set the minimum value to be displayed on the chart axis.

Scale Unit

The scale unit allows you to set the numeric spacing between the axis values.

Ref. Line 1

This allows you to place a reference line on the Y axis. You can add multiple lines by clicking on the Add button.

  • Ref Line Value - : this is the position on the y axis you wish the reference line to be displayed at
  • Ref Line Colour - : this is the colour applied to the reference line
  • Ref Line Description - : this is the text label displayed on the reference line to provide context

Ref. Line Position

This allows you to place a reference line on the X axis when using scatter or bubble charts. Only one can be added.
